We bought our tickets!

To save about $6500 in international ticket prices, we have chosen to fly out toward the end of August--so we can take the children with us. We, as a family, will receive Daniel on August 31st.

We have Article 5 and a van!

In the last 24 hours, we have washed and sorted all of Daniel’s clothes and put them into his drawers (since they were in the attic), completed the visa applications—for the second time, purchased a van, received notice that our paperwork was headed to Beijing so they can issue us Travel Approval, cleaned the van, completed the visa applications—for the third time (ugh!), worked on adoption paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork. It’s been a very full 24 hours. We wanted to say a special “THANK YOU” to all of our prayer warriors and supporters. You all have upheld us through so much! We appreciate you more than you know!!!!!!!!!!!

NVC Letter Received!

We received confirmation this morning that all our needed paperwork for bringing Daniel into the USA had been received and approved! So, I immediately went online and applied for his visa! Our agency should be hand-delivering all his paperwork to the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, China overnight (their Thursday).

We are on the countdown! All we need is Article 5 and then Travel Approval! Thank You, Lord!!

I texted Derek the good news, and he called me right away. We started talking about getting an old limo or old small school bus!
J I mean, who wants to limit the amount of car seats that can fit into a seven-passenger van? All we know is: we were made for adoption and orphan care!

Another Update on Daniel

A family who just recently adopted a little boy was visiting their son's orphanage and found their son had a little buddy. They took pictures of their son's friend--who turned out to be our Daniel! So, the mom sent me these pictures!

Daniel is in a yellow shirt, his buddy is in the blue shirt:

 Daniel is right-handed!

In addition, yesterday our agency sent us a video of Daniel. He stood up! See his video HERE.

What a loving environment he is in! What care he is getting! I am truly looking forward to visiting his orphanage and thanking all those who have cared for him so well!

May God abundantly bless his nannies and all those from America who have volunteered in his orphanage!!

P.S. Ever wondered how you could care for orphans? You could go to an orphanage to volunteer. But, warning: you'll never be the same! ;-)
