Happy Thanksgiving!

What a great week it has been! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with family and growing closer together.

This week has been wonderful, too, because Daniel has begun walking alone--unassisted. He is walking all over the place! No one ever told him he wasn't supposed to be able to walk until he was 8 or 9-years old, so he's just gotten up and taken off! He.is.SO.fun!!!!

Oh, and Derek picked up the buzzers for the first time and cut Daniel's hair as part of a joke. All that baby hair gone. Gulp. Oh, well. It'll grow back....

Update on Daniel

Daniel is amazing! He is beginning to walk around the house without any assistance--taking about 15-20 steps in a row and laughing each time! He is so proud of himself!

Also, he is saying, "Thank you" when receiving food or drink--without any prompting! Derek and I marvel that he can say the words already, and that he can use the words in proper context!

This morning, I was changing Daniel out of his pajamas and into a onesie. As I was putting his onesie on, he said, "Thank you!" He melted my heart.

Daniel loves to sing, and "sings" along to music. Everyone in the family smiles with sheer joy when he sings. J

He is now eating regular foods, and he is only dairy-free (as are all my children). He still has diarrhea, but instead of being 9+ times a day, it's down to 1-3 times a day.

The doctors have no idea what's wrong. He has gone through so much testing, and all his parasite tests have come back negative, and all his other tests have been normal. The only test that was not normal was the test that showed he is not absorbing sugar--which is indicative of anyone with chronic diarrhea. Thus, everything is "normal" for him.

Someone had mentioned to me that perhaps he was experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It sure seems quite possible, as now he is much happier and his diarrhea is so much better.

So, we'll just continue loving on little guy and celebrating all his new accomplishments. J

Here he is blowing me kisses one night after washing up from dinner:

He said, "Cheese!"

We were out front watching Daniel practice walking when my neighbor, Cheryle, came out with her camera. She snapped these awesome pictures, and Daniel said: "Cheese!" He kept saying it over and over again for her!!! Cherish and I were laughing with joy! We were so surprised!

Thank you, Cheryle!

Daniel is 2!

Happy Birthday, Daniel!
We had so much fun celebrating YOU!!!!

Cherish put the bows on Daniel.

So, Daniel put a bow on Hope's head.

The children sat with Daniel as they each gave him their gifts.
What an awesome little boy he is!!!
We love him so much!

Thank You, Jesus, for our sweet blessing!!!
