Pictorial Bible Study

We have been having Bible Study at night together as a family since we first received Cherish. Our time over the years has changed with the ages of our children, but now we have found our new normal.

We are currently reading from the Old Testament, and when Derek is not reading, we are listening to the Bible read to us over on app. While we are listening, we either draw what we hear, or we focus on one verse that jumps out at us.

We each have a journal, and I thought I'd include some pages here.

Hope's Noah's Ark:

Andrew's picture of Absalom getting caught in an oak tree
by his hair, and his donkey running away:

 Cherish's picture of John 3:14-15:

Focusing on one verse:

or summarizing a portion of a chapter:

The children have so greatly enjoyed this kind of Bible Study, that they have repeatedly asked us to pack their journals in our luggage when we go to China. We may compromise and simply take paper, markers, and colored pencils. J

Do you have a favorite way to study the Bible? I'd sure love to hear about it!
