Free Day

Today we had a free day as we await our U.S. Consulate appointment--which will be early tomorrow morning.

Andrew has been asking to get his hair cut. Again and again he has said: "Can I please get my hair cut? The people here know how to cut my hair so that I look Chinese." You got it, Buddy!

These three handsome dudes got their hair cut today:

Then, it began to rain. So we had some friends over for play time:

Sammy with his bottle from the orphanage:

More friends came to join the party:

"Thank you, Russell family, for all the fun games that kept our children busy for hours today!!"

And when you're little ones are occupied, you can get some laundry done:
"Thank you, Kristi, for all the clothes pins!!"

How I boil water for 5 minutes (lid open):
I use the boiled water for Samuel's bottles, for our evening cups of tea, and for cleaning and sanitizing tooth brushes, bottles, sippy cups, and snack cups.
"Thank You, Lord, for boiling pots!!"

When the rain died down, our group walked over to the Macao Street Restaurant for a family-style Chinese dinner:

After dinner, we came back to the room to prepare for bed and our appointment tomorrow. My wake up call will be at 5 a.m. We'll be swearing in again tomorrow that we will not abandon this precious little one that God has placed in our arms.
"We do solemnly swear never to abandon you, little Sammy!"

After that, Sammy's visa can be fully be processed.

Glad they could get their hair cut, especially so Andrew could have the Chinese 'do ;) Looks like all kinds of fun and hanging out in your room--even the socks!
