Dossier Complete!

Derek and I just completed all of our adoption paperwork that needs to go to China! The children and I mailed the paperwork to our agency for critical review and translation. When that is complete, the agency will mount our pictures and bind our documents.

This is one huge step that is now behind us!

Making progress

Derek and I applied for Daniel’s passport, our USCIS paperwork arrived at the office--applying for an extension to bring “Chen” into the States, our adoption paperwork arrived in TX so that it can all be sealed by the Chinese Consulate, Cherish and I sorted through some yard sale donations (THANK YOU, EVERYONE!!), we began the process of making yard sale posters, and we may have actually picked out a name for our future son. It’s been a good day so far. J

"Chen"

We received a new picture of our son-to-be! He had just woken up and has "sleepy face" in the picture.

The molluscum on his face seems to be clearing up. Daniel now has molluscum, and I am finding there is not much that helps the bumps.

To update on our progress, our dossier is at the Secretary of State getting sealed. As soon as we receive it back, we will be sending it off to the Chinese Consulate.

In the meantime, we are working on getting our I-800A extension. All the paperwork for the extenstion is ready and waiting to hit the mail tomorrow.

"We'll get you, little guy! Soon.
In the mean time, if you have a new name you prefer,
please let your daddy and mommy know.
We are still searching for the right name.
We love you, little one,
and we can hardly wait to hold and kiss you!!"

Christmas in March

This past weekend "Pappy" and "Nanny" took their children, grandchildren, and great-grand children to Disney. The tickets and time together were our Christmas gifts, and we enjoyed being with everyone!

And, here's Daniel being terrified of characters:
 He's doing better:

And, even better! Brave little Daniel!

Thank you Pappy and Nanny for our fun time together!
