Random weekend post

Last night Cherish asked if I would curl her hair. So, I rolled her hair in rag curlers. Hope wanted to be just like Cherish, so I put rag curlers in her hair as well.

Here's my attempt at putting rag curlers in Hope's hair.
(Her hair length averages at about 2 inches long.)
After the "curlers" were in, it was story time with daddy.

This morning I put Cherish's hair in a bun, and well, I had to wet Hope's hair down. Hope has 6 cowlicks and the added random curls were just, um, wow!
Hope groaned and moaned with disappointment. She so badly wanted to look just like Cherish. Quickly, Cherish dressed them in matching dresses and Hope instantly felt better. (It's a good thing they have one matching outfit!)

Then, this afternoon I caught these two watching cartoons snuggled together.
Four short months ago they were complete strangers!

I love the miracle of adoption and what it does in the hearts of children. Adoption is beautiful. In so many ways!!

I love days when we get to spend time together just
playing in the back yard!

Chinese New Year 2014

We celebrated Chinese New Year (CNY) this weekend with our local chapter of Families with Children from China (FCC). This was Hope's first time celebrating CNY in America. She loved it!
