RDA Dance Recital 2016

On June 4th, Cherish and Hope danced in a recital that had been gifted to them.

Derek and I had not planned on enrolling the girls in dance for the past year, but as it turned out, a family tied with Reach Destiny Arts (who wants to remain anonymous) offered the girls a year of dance. What a gift!

Each lesson was a reminder that God watches over the details of His children's lives, and He cares about each of His little ones!

Thank you, Sweet Family!

4-Way Kisses...

are the best!

First Piano Recital

On May 21st, Cherish was able to experience her first piano recital. Her teacher, Shirley Elliott, gifted Cherish with another year of lessons! We continued to be awed by Ms. Shirley's graciousness and generosity! What a blessing!!

"Ms. Shirley, thank you for caring about children and making a way for them to learn about music and the Lord no matter the cost! You have been such a blessing to our family!"

In addition, we would like to thank our sweet friend, Dee, for taking the following photos:

Wonderful job, Cherish!!
We are so proud of you!!!

P.S. Cherish, you look better in my clothes than I do. I will be borrowing yours before you know it! ♥

Andrew was baptized!

On Sunday, May 15th, Andrew got baptized. And,
he.
was.
so.
happy!!!!!

For months he had been begging us to let him get baptized, but due to illness and travel, he had not been able to get on the schedule. Until now.

The morning he was to be baptized, Andrew was dancing around as well as jumping up and down. It was like electricity was running through him, and he couldn't stand still!
He.
was.
ecstatic!

Andrew was the first to be baptized that morning, and I wondered if he would be too shy to be the first on stage or to be the first submerged.
Nope.

Then, as he struggled to read his testimony, I wondered if he would give up.
Nope.

He knew what he wanted, and he would do whatever was necessary to get baptized!

Daddy went up on stage to help Andrew keep his place while he read. (Since he was not used to reading from a page full of words.)
