Also, he is saying, "Thank you" when receiving food or drink--without any prompting! Derek and I marvel that he can say the words already, and that he can use the words in proper context!
This morning, I was changing Daniel out of his pajamas and into a onesie. As I was putting his onesie on, he said, "Thank you!" He melted my heart.
Daniel loves to sing, and "sings" along to music. Everyone in the family smiles with sheer joy when he sings. J
He is now eating regular foods, and he is only dairy-free (as are all my children). He still has diarrhea, but instead of being 9+ times a day, it's down to 1-3 times a day.
The doctors have no idea what's wrong. He has gone through so much testing, and all his parasite tests have come back negative, and all his other tests have been normal. The only test that was not normal was the test that showed he is not absorbing sugar--which is indicative of anyone with chronic diarrhea. Thus, everything is "normal" for him.
Someone had mentioned to me that perhaps he was experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It sure seems quite possible, as now he is much happier and his diarrhea is so much better.
So, we'll just continue loving on little guy and celebrating all his new accomplishments. J
Here he is blowing me kisses one night after washing up from dinner:
