It's night time...

...and Matthew is having a hard time . It's night and it's unsettling to him. He's scared. In certain orphanages, lights do not go out. The nannies simply throw a blanket over the children's faces to let them know it's sleep time. Matthew is experiencing dark--perhaps for the first time. Please pray for his scared heart.

Derek put him on WeChat with me, and he keeps calling "Mama!" and pointing to the door. I think he is wanting Derek to take him to his nanny.

Derek put him in his crib, but he cried hysterically. Derek pulled him back out of the crib (which is what he slept in in the orphanage), and Matthew doesn't want to leave Derek's side.

While on WeChat, Derek sat Matthew on the regular bed and rubbed his head. I could see tiredness all over him. But, he will not let Derek move him from Derek's side. Matthew keeps rubbing Derek's arm, stomach, chest....

When he's right next to Derek, he looks at peace. However, Derek said he wouldn't eat tonight, and when Derek made his formula--which the orphanage said he takes in the morning and at bedtime--he refused the bottle. (The bottle and the formula were his from the orphanage.)

Sadness is taking over for the little guy. Please keep praying for him. Thank you!
