Thank you for praying!!

Derek said the transition went really well! Matthew only cried for a few seconds as he asked for his "mama" (the name many nannies go by in the orphanage).

Since being back at the hotel room, Andrew has been following Matthew around and giving him food the minute his hands are empty. Matthew is eating snacks really well--as he walks around the room exploring.

Matthew's two favorite things seem to be the tub faucet--he loves to turn the water on and watch the water run, and a reusable grocery bag Derek took along for shopping.

Matthew is still on a bottle and takes formula, but we will wean him off the formula when his new container runs out. He is eating table food and is fine to be taken off formula. For now, it will be his "comfort" food.

We found out Matthew detests balloons--the complete opposite of Samuel, who seems to think he cannot survive without balloons 😉.

Matthew wears size 4 diapers, but I only had space to pack 6 diapers with all the donations our friends and family sent along. (Thank you so much!!!!) So, after Derek's meeting today, he will head back to Carrefour to buy some diapers.

Other than that, Matthew seems not to understand what's going on. Sometimes it can take days for the child to understand the permancy of the situation. (We had Cherish for three days before she realized I wasn't leaving. It was at that point that she began hitting me, punching me, trying to bite me.... We joke about it now.)

We are guardians of Matthew for 24-hours, and after that, the adoption paperwork is signed and finalized.

Thanks for all the prayers! We ALL appreciate them!!!!!!!!!!
